I work a 9-5 and commute 3-4 hours a day. I am interested in falconry, and had always noticed hawks before...but the sightings ramped up since I spend so much time on the road. It became a passion (some might say I'm obsessed, haha), and I love stopping to take pictures when I can and learn which birds are in which territories.
Simple answer is I see so many of them perched on light poles and I thought the name was funny and has a ring to it. All of this is for fun.
I wanted a place to share my pictures with other bird of prey enthusiasts, and have a place where you can find pictures, learn about raptors, and even share your own pictures eventually. I am currently working on that last part.
No. I posted links for other organizations to help people find information they may need. Whether you want to visit and support a raptor center, or if you found an injured bird of prey (or any animal), posting links to these websites could help.
